Arriving Outlook 2003 message triggers Windows Installer popups

After installing Office 2003, every arriving EMAIL in Outlook triggers
Windows Installer to pop up and to hit my floppy disk drive momentarily.

And what is your response to that occurrence?
 
Once the email is delivered, the pop up goes away, and the floppy drive stops
spinning.

Do you recall ever patching Outlook or some other part of Office via the
floppy drive?
 
No, I haven't. All installs/patches have been done from CD or direct
download from MS.
