arrange icons by date in xp

is there any way i can get the arrange by date options in
earlier windows os back into xp?

modify is not like date.
date is arranging the icons by the date they were created.
modify is arranging the icons by the last time they were
modified/accessed.

im looking to put files in order of when i got them.

I think that might only be possible in the Start Menu (because once they are
created they aren't changed)

When you are in the directory, click on View, then
Click to expand...
Choose Details. Check the box for "date created". Then
you will be able to right-click and arrange icons by date
created rather than date modified.
