ARGGHHH!!! Stupid audio...

I hate myself right now OK. A minute ago my sound was working and now it is not. When I try and run Musicmatch, I click on one of the sound files and it gives me an error. I try and run something in Windows Media Player and I still get an error. What could be wrong??? I ran several updates, and I tried to troubleshoot... ARGGHHH!!!! what could be wrong? Does anyone know?
 
Use System Restore to a point where the sound worked. If no joy , reinstall
your sound driver . Jym
