Are there security in orignal Windows that can't let install progr

I have a original Windows Xp Home Edition in English installed in my laptop,
and i can't install the ArcGis (not original), i've tried diferents versions
and non of all i have success. In others windows (diferents computers) i get
to
install but i my laptop i get to install only original versions of arcgis.
Somebody
know if there are some protection in original windows and how i disable this
protection?
