Are Programs tranferred with Files and Settings Transfer Wizard?

I want to "zap" my machine and reformat the hard drive so I can clean things
up. However, I have one program on my hard drive that I don't want to lose,
as the installation disk is lost.

Do you know if this program will transfer in full when the F.A.S.T.wiz is
done?

With very rare exceptions (an occasional small self-contained
program), programs can never be transferred from one computer to
another, regardless of how you do it.

Programs have entries and pointers to where they are located in the
Windows registry (and elsewhere) as well as supporting files. If you
try to use a program that wasn't installed in that copy of Windows,
those entries will be missing, the pointers will be wrong, the
supporting files will be missing, and the programs will not work.
