are downloaded messages kept in my computer?

I was just wondering where outlook express keeps the downloaded
messages from pop3 or http email services? Are they kept in my
computer in any specific folder? Can I change the location of the
downloaded messages so that I can free up space in my C: drive (i
presume that's where it's kept).

This newsgroup is for Microsoft Office Outlook, not Outlook Express; the two
are distinctly different programs. There are Microsoft newsgroups for OE
