Archive not working correctly

In Outlook 2003 I have default archiving set for all folders. This is
set to archive all "over 6 months old" messages to an existing
archive.pst folder.

Archiving has worked properly with the same settings but now the Inbox,
despite having messages well over six months is not moving these
messages.

What more can I check than the properties of each folder to fix this
problem?

Are you being caught out by the 'modified date' as this is the date on which
the archive setting works.

I did read the posts about this and noted that for the posts which would
not move I could not read the header information. I then moved them
manually.

I found it impossible to add a created or modified field to the Outlook
messages view. Is this your finding also? I thought that if I could
have done this I could have sorted on the modified field then moved the
"offending" messages.

Right-click on the heading bar (where Subject, Received Date, etc. are) and
choose "Field Chooser". Then click the drop-down at the top select the
"Date/Time Fields". You'll now be able to drag the Modified header to the
header bar.

Brian,

You have lost me here. I have right-clicked on every area of the OL2003
windows but cannot find any header with "field chooser".

Please talk me through it
