I am using Outlook 2003 with an Exchange Server 2003.

When I am archiving mail, some mails are left.

It does not matter which date I use, it is not possible to archive this
emails.

I recently imported all of our company's employees to an exchange database
from regular pst files. Of course may people had mail that was older than
dirt so I had a but of cleaning up to do.

Outlook's autoarchive uses the "modified" date as it's selection criteria.
Use the field chooser to display the modified date to verify that this is
what is going on. My casual observation is that outlook updates the modified
date any time that you move an email from a pst to exchange, import from
outlook express... general moving stuff around which is frankly kind of
anoying in this circumstance because I would rather it contnue to consider
emails "old" even if they have been moved around a bit.

You can archive manually by sorting by received date and dragging the emails
(as a group selection) from the exchange folder to a folder in the
archive.pst file.

Regards,

Steve
