Applications not found adter Office 03 to 07 upgrade. What now?

I've just upgraded from Office 03 to Office 07 XP. Now when I send out
e-mail attachments the recipients cannot open the attachments. They get an
error message that says "Application Not Found." They know there is an
attachment but cannot open it. No what?
 
What mail format are you using? If it's Rich Text format, switch to plain
view or HTML and see if that helps.
 
I switched from Rich format to HTML format and got the same result. I can
open the document on Outlook 2007 on my machine. Whne I send it to others
_even those using Outlook at some really big companies they get the
Application not found message.
