I have 35 p.c.s on a school network. I just started this job so I don't have
explicit details of the servers or the network. In the classroom with the 35
p.c.'s, the Typing Instructor program opens up right away on most of them.
With about 5-6 computers, it says "connecting to server" and just stays there
as frozen. I am literate with networking,so if I could get my nose pointed
in the right direction, I would be forever indebted. Thanks

You might see if they have any documentation...perhaps from the last people
who supported it?

We'd need to know a lot more in order to help, I suspect. Where is this
application loaded? Where is it trying to launch itself (or components
thereof) from?

Is it always the same 5-6 PCs that can't get connected, or is it the
last 5-6?
Fire up the program in a different order to find out. If it is the last
PCs,
then it points to a limit in the server (like a license limitation); if
it is
the same PCs, then it points to a problem in the client (or in how they are
connected to the server).
