There use to be a application program, that would scan you hard drive,
for all applicaiton installed, then you can be anywhere, and right
click, and move to the right of the arrow, and see all your
application, and select one to run.

Wonder if there is something like that today for XP.

As most (all ?) programs that create an application list simply give
one a list from the registry (ignoring installed applications that
don't make registry entries) I am not sure why the scanning of the
hard drive would be needed. Unless perhaps to see if any of the
items have been removed ?

I doubt that you are right, but if you remember the name, perhaps
you could let us all know it ?

Regards, John.

"Directory Lister"

http://freeware.prv.pl (hope is actually working)

I use this great little prog under Win XP HE SP1 since years. Impressive
are the configuration parameters. So, only for example, you can choose
the mask "*.exe" (beside date and many many others), the whole HDDs,
and/or directories with or without subdirectories. Naturally you can
print out the list as txt, csv, HTML file. Before printing practically
you can see the list as a peview!
