Application hang

When using Windows Vista Mail to post a message in Microsoft news groups,
the mail application hangs under certain conditions:

1. Windows Live login is activated.
2. Entering the message text takes more than (say) a minute.

If I disable Windows Live login the mail application works as expected.

Please advice.

Who uses a modem nowadays? :-)

Live Login is a feature of Windows Live Mail, not Windows Mail.

I use Windows Mail that comes with Windows Vista and indeed has settings for
Live Live ID in the properties for news group servers.

So, the question remains. Why does the application hang when it is activated
(the default setting is activated).

You're right. I don't see that Live ID tab because I have
"Use newsgroup message rating features" disabled (Tools, Options).
That feature is very buggy, and is best left disabled.
