when i close my Webster's Dictionary program i get
"an error has occurred in your application. If ytou
choose "ignore", you should save your work in a new file.
If you choose "close" your application will terminate.
Actually you get a new box that says "application error"
Dictinry caused a general protection fault in module
dictinry.EXE 0003:2B45. Choose "close" and dictionary
will close....and it does.
As a more or less computer novice, can any give me anaya
enlightenment? I have been told to uninstall the
operating system and re install it etc. Whew....that
sounds heavy for someone who does not know beans about
such things.
thanks, Miller

Always try the easy fixes first: Reinstall the program.

And by the way, whenever you install (or uninstall) software be sure to
temporarily disable your antivirus protection until after the program has
(un)installed. Many AV programs contain components that interfere with the
ability of installers to change things on your computer. This is by design,
of course.

If simply reinstalling the program doesn't help -- and you're working with
the most recent version -- then uninstall the program, reboot and install
again.
