Good evening,

Here is scenerio: I have a claims application that was
written for Windows NT 4.0 OS. I have since updraded my
workstations to Windows 2000 and then attempting to test
Windows XP and of course testing with my Claims
applications.
I have run into some problems with the XP and claims
system. The application worked fine in NT. 2000 and XP
present some problems. I think I have a memory handling
issue with the new OS's.
Concerning XP my questions is: Does XP have any command
line switches/utilities or integrated utilities to tell an
application how or what memory space to run in? I have
heard of it but for the life of me can't remember the name
of the util. Any help with this command would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help

Karen,

Open an Explorer Window on the actual executable program (not a shortcut).
Choose Properties and then the Compatibility tab. You can then tell it what
OS to emulate to run this particular program (I'd recommend choosing NT 4.0
if that was what it was written for).

See if this solves your problem.
