APC UPS??

My PC saw the UPS just fine when I had XP on it, but now my Vista Ultimate
does not seem to even know it's there on the same serial port and same
cable that worked fine for XP...

Does Vista not have auto-shutdown software like good ole XP did?

I have told Device Mangler to search for new HW 2-3 times, no soap.

At this point I'm guessing the capability is not even there like it was in
XP??

Did you try the APC Powerchute software? (I haven't)

They have a Vista version...

Thanx for that. Downloaded that, but not sure yet if I want to install it.
After all, my old-tech XP supported my UPS with without installing anything
other than SP2, and I tend not to install stuff I don't really need...
