Anytime I try to browse away from the My Documents folder my computer hangs

Any time I try to drop the Look In browser from any microsoft office
ap. My computer hangs for around a minute+. I have deleted all my
network connection, printers and short cuts in my network places. Also
I have tried the save as fix from microsoft.
 
What happens when you click on the drop button twice. The first time takes
long, then click button again (after not chosing anything). Does the list
second time take as long as first time.

I do not mean close the window, just multiple requests on drop button for
Look in.

Here's something I found in a Google groups search:

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any
mapped network drives that are not currently available.
