A kind soul on here helped design a spreadsheet I have been using t
keep track of patients in my office, I am a new internal medicin
physician in Texas, in an employed position, so I have not much say i
what I use. Someone I met on here very kindly designed a spreadshee
for me that has been working very well, but he is unavailable, I hop
he is OK. I need to make a few refinements to it, would anyone b
willing to help with this project? I have only a few refinements that
need added.

Thanks
do

Hi docsboard!

That's not really the way we do things here.

On a problem by problem basis in separate posts:

Describe briefly what you have.
Describe briefly what you want to do.

It always helps you if you try to do it yourself first and even post a
formula that tries to do what you want.

Thanks Norman, I am a novice when it comes to Excel, that is why I wa
looking for help on here, which forum would be more appropriate for m
to post seeking help with this spreadsheet?
Cheers

I've been using this forum for a while and most of the
time I get such good answers that I wouldn't mind giving
back by helping out. I don't know the etiquette about
giving out e-mail addresses and having someone send me a
file so that I can help. What are the rules?

Hi Karen!

Giving your email address is a matter of personal choice. There are
spammers out there who harvest them of the groups but with reasonably
good filters and a rapid use of the delete button, I manage to live
with it.

Same with inviting people to send files direct. A matter of choice.
Sometimes it's a lot easier than explaining or sometimes it's the only
way to find out what the poster wants or how a solution needs to fit
in with what they have. However, it does defeat one of the purposes of
these groups which is to share knowledge with other than just the
poster. In my view, off group solutions should be reported back to the
group unless there's some over-riding confidentiality thing involved.
Another consideration is virus infected workbooks but (grasping my
desk firmly and touching my head) good up to date virus definitions
have kept my system clean so $&&$#3 @5344 2378 (%$###&.

Just to let you know that your humor doesn't go unnoticed!

Setting up Norman: it hurts when I do this.

Hi Dave!

I just couldn't resist it! If everyone is having fun and laughing,
there's usually a lot of good work being done.

Norman,

Thanks for your response. I get enough spam as it is.
I'll keep my assistance to others on the public forum.
