If so does anyone have problems with their outlook form time to time
when using?

If so is the kind of problem when outlook won't find your pop servers?

Best regards

Jerry

Not sure if this helps, but I love mailwasher...

Turn off your automatic receive. Use mailwasher with 2
minutes or so receive, after you open it when you see new
messages in the taskbar, clean up and confirm THEN press
F9 in outlook to receive mail.

Works great....

p.s. get the pro version, its worth the 20 bucks!

I agree I would recommend mailwasher to anyone.

I would doubt it is a bug in Outlook because mailasher runs completly on its
own and interogates the server just as any mail client does except it does
not remove the mail from the servor unless it is told to delete it.

Most mail clients get rejected from time to time because something happens
at the server. A little patience fixes it.

Normally I would agree John there are always times when the server
rejects user name, password etc but this is different it just never
finds the server I could leave it all day long and the problem is the
same.

But my point remains:- What does any of this have to do with Outlook?
Have you tried to get Mailwasher to connect with Outlook Closed?
Have you changed Outlook versions?
For that matter what version are you useing?
Except for the occasional missed connect for whatever reason MW has been
very good as far as I can see.

MW Connects fine unless there is a problem with the server, Outlook is
the program that won't connect. Even in the situation i described with
Outlook hanging until shutdown MWP still connects to the servers,
proving there is nothing wrong with them. I also use ASync 3.7.1 for
Ipaq 5550.

Then I misunderstood your question.
You really have a problem with Outlook and not Mailwasher and as they are
seperate as I said.
Do you get this problem if you do not start Mail Washer ?
Or how do you see it as part of the issue except as an indication that the
server is good and Outlook has a problem?

Wot's Your Real Problem?

I will try without MW at some point I have now removed and reinstalled
my AV software this time not enabling my the email scanning side of
things.

Someone on the MW support forum has suggested this as a course of
action.

I thought that maybe MW is locking the servers out from outlook in
some way

As in aside John is there any reason why outlook.exe would appear in
Task Manager if its not been started bearing in mind I am running
Active Sync 3,.7.1 for my Ipaq or as you also know running MW.

Thanks for all your help btw.
