anyone know how to recover a previous version of a file in MSWord

This is Word 2007. I suspect a bug enabling saving of the wrong file that is
open as it has happened twice recently. Anyone know how to recover a
previous file version? (Not on a network).
 
Are you opening files directly from email?

Don't.

This sort of thing happens.

Copy the file to your hard drive before working on it.
