Does anybody know configure MS Outlook XP to set remove junk email addresses
directly on ISP mail, before downloading mail into Outlook account?

Outlook can't do that at all because it's junk filter acts only on
downloaded messages.

Oh, its a problem.

No, it's not a problem. Outlook doesn't access the message on the server.
It asks the server to send it any waiting messages and once it does, it then
acts upon them. That's no different than any other POP client. No POP
client manipulates messages while they're still on the server.

cubus, Here's something I do, that you might try.

I'm using OE6

1--Check--New Rule

2--Check--Delete it from server

3--Check--Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the from line contains [Put in something specific here]

MEMO: I put in 'TaxHelp' (One of many, I never see them again.
They are on the server, before this rule is applied, and they're
gown after the rule is applied. Never getting to my computer.

Good Luck,
George

And how does that help someone using Outlook?

If you were to check, you would notice that the original
poster 'cubus' and myself are using the same version of Outlook

No you're not - 'cubus' is using OE6 as a newsreader, but stated in his
original post that he uses Outlook XP.

Are you saying it doesn't work in Outlook.

Of course it doesn't.

Why would it? DIfferent programs have different menus and options.
Certainly you can't tell someone how to do something in, say, Microsoft
Flight Simulator and expect it to work in Microsoft Golf. Why should
Outlook and Outlook Express behave any more similarly?

Office XP uses Outlook 2002. You said:

Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express V6 are completely different and unrelated
programs.

I missed the MS Outlook XP part.

But what I suggested works pretty well for me.

Maybe there's a work around for cubus, there usually is.

Hope he finds it.
