Any way to show the Calendar and the Messages at the same time?

Howdy,

Is there any way to add possible the month grid (where the days are bolded with appointments) to the
message view somehow? Possibly the Folder list on the left, the Message list and preview pane next
to that, and then maybe somehow adding the little month calendar on the side or something?

I know the Outlook Today screen has the calendar and the email folders on the same page but I want
to actualy see the messages, not just the folders.
