Hi, there's a lot of talk about this on the Google archives but no apparent
solution, but I was hoping there was one now. Is there any way to reinstall
(NOT restore factory settings) XP on my Sony Vaio RZ-PCV221 desktop PC?
It comes with one CD - a recovery disc which will only do one thing and
that's reformat the hard disk and restore the XP image in the process.
However it does seem to have the setup files present too, just no Setup.exe
and no bootable way into Setup
I have no separate Windows XP Home CD, and other threads imply that even if
I did, it would halt after 39 mins. Couldn't be sure if that was just when
upgrading to Pro though.
Solutions appreciated
