Okay, I tried this once before, but my post apparently
fell into a black hole...

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to prevent a
particular file type from showing up in the "Documents"
area of the Start Menu when it has been recently accessed?
I'd like to keep JPEGs out of there, if possible. I know
how to delete them once they're there, of course, but it
would be much more convenient if they never appeared there
in the first place.

You can prevent 'My Recent Documents' from being in start
menu. Right click the taskbar--->Properties--->Start
Menu Tab--->Start Menu______Customize--->Advance Tab--->
-----Original Message-----Uncheck 'List most recently
opened documents

Tweak UI doesn't offer anything to help--at least as far
as I could find--but thanks to the suggestion previous to
that one (from Sanchez, I think?) I've got it completely
figured out now. So, for anyone wondering the same thing
I was, here's what to do...

As was pointed out, you can disable the Recent Documents
from the Start Menu. The good thing is, if you 1) disable
it (per Sanchez's advice) with some documents already in
there, then 2) access whatever files/documents you don't
want to show up there, then 3) re-enable the Recent
Documents after you're done, the original set of documents
is still there but the new ones aren't. Therefore, it
looks like nothing ever happened. Perfect.

Thanks!

Scratch that. It appeared to work the first time, but
then it didn't work the second time. The documents I
wanted kept out appeared when I re-enabled the Recent
Documents list.
