Any way to find out which excel file is linked to another?

On one of my workbooks, for the past couple of weeks, I get a statement when
opening the file, telling me it's linked to another file and asking me
whether I want to update this workbook with changes made in the other
workbook.

Only thing is that this workbook is not linked to any other file. There are
no macros in this workbook. I've went through the properties of the workbook
to see whether it shows the linked file and nothing. I've viewed all
formulas in all three worksheets, and there is no mention of any linked
files.

Is there any other way to find out which supposed file is linked to my file.

Thanks, Bob

Could be you have a link through a Name.

Check Insert>Name>Define to see what's there.

Alternative if no joy above..........

Download Bill Manville's FINDLINK.XLA from Stephen Bullen's site.

With this add-in you can find and delete links if any exist.
