Any way to change default view in Search Companion ?

If I do a search on my system for all files with
the mask *.mpg, or *.avi, or *.jpg the files that are found *always*
appear as thumbnails.

I don't use thumbnails any where else in Explorer but they always
appear here. I would like the results to be in "list" format.

Does the search companion allow me to set a custom view and
have it always be used?

You can apply one view to all your folders. Is that what you are looking
for?

Select your desired view, then click on Tools>>Folder Options>>View
tab>>"Apply to all folders"

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but will make your searches MUCH
faster. Download the FREE file search utility Agent Ransack (not the
shareware PRO version but the FREE version). After using it once, I never
used the Windows XP search again. You won't believe the speed of the
searches. I put a shortcut for it on my Start menu.

Even if I do that, the search results for the media files
I mentioned always appear as thumbnails.

Regardless of this, why should I have to use the same view for all
folders? Is the search result considered a folder?
I don't think this helps or even applies.
