Any Virus Scan Will Not Complete......Help Please

Problem. I have Norton antivirus 2003 pro. That will not
complete it's scan. Not only will that complete, but when
I visit the Mcaffee site to get a free scan there. That
also will not complete. I also use to re boot my system
in safe mode to complete the virus scan, but that dosen't
work anylonger. I also tryed to run "Ad Aware", but that
would not complete unless I went to safe mode. That also
could stop runing at any time like my Norton did. What
could be wrong? I just don't understand what could have
happen to my computer to cause this?

Your system is obviously very infected. The best thing to do is, as the
Old Geek suggested, format the hard drive and reinstall Windows.
Reinstall programs from cd's and restore your data from backup.
