Any "secret" backup

I uninstalled Excel (somehow it also uninstalled Outlook) and while I finally
got Outlook reinstalled, it of course "lost" all my mail/contacts/etc. I've
gotten the contacts back from my PocketPC but my emails are still "lost".

Is there any "hidden" backup that might have these emails still around? In
other words, does the uninstall/reinstall process REALLY delete the personal
folders permantently.

An uninstall doesn't delete any data in fact; it doesn't even delete any
settings. It's just like when you uninstall Excel it won't delete all your
xls-files. Search for pst-files on your hard disk. Make sure you include
hidden files/folder when searching. When found use File-> Open-> Outlook
Data File in Outlook to reconnect the pst-file.

Thanks! That was it.
