As already discussed in this newsgroup, the Windows XP Embedded Desktop QFE
Installer Tool V1.0 had been withdrawn from the secured OEM site.
There has been a report from one poster in this group that the component
worked for him, however in our team we have no such luck, as I had
described on May 18.
I once again entreat the MS people to give us the slightest hint about the
nature of the problem. If you can't be specific for some reason, one answer
would already help us a great deal: Is there an acknowledged _technical_
problem about the component, or not?
If the answer is No, we will have to give up the hopes that we had in the
component, as it doesn't work for us, and we can't even turn to the MS
support about a withdrawn component. But at least it would help us to
*know*.
This is so *utterly* frustrating ... :-(
