I am using AVG free antivirus. Is there something else I need to install to
secure my computer. Please keep in mind, I have limited computer knowledge.
 
You might try a anti spyware program like AdAware or Spybot Search &
Destroy. Then keep Windows Defender & the Windows Firewall enabled and you
are doing enough.

AVG also offers an anti-spyware application, also free of charge. I run
AdAware 2007, Spybot Search and Destroy and Zone Alarm Free Edition in
addition to AVG AntiVirus on my Vista system. I've run these applications
for several years and have never had an infection. I've had occasions where
AVG caught something trying to get in and took care of the malware before it
could do anything.
