which may be related.

I have been remiss,
Sorry ?:-(

I hope they are not moving to daily updates.
I want Defender to be safe and stable, not cutting edge.
The problem with cutting edge is you can get cut.
Soon millions of Vista users will have Defender, Microsoft can not afford
false positives.

Microsoft prefers to be predictable. In this case, there were apparently
reasons for a quick turnaround on a new definition set. I don't think this
is predictive of any change.
