Another PST question

I have searched the posts and have not really found the answer to my delema.
My anti virus program deleted my Personal Folders.PST file (why? I dont know
yet) running XP pro all the current updates and Office 03 Develp. with all
current updates. I export my files weekly to an off site location so I have a
current backup of my info. I tried to repair the program from the original
disk, and or reloaded it my files are still missing. I was able to get a new
..pst file however now I have several duplicate entrys on my calendar and the
email wont work. and I have two archive files whew!! I fear I have made a
mess.

Help Please....
 
First question - what software do you use for your AntiVirus? Most of these
programs put suspect files in a Quarantine folder instead of deleting them
outright. We may be able to recover the file from there.

Sorry for the delay in replying I am useing F-Secure and it seems that the
options with this program doesnt allow for quarantine. the options are to
disenfect or delete. It has been my experiance that the disifect usally
doesnt work so I normally delete the offending file. Prior to updating to
2003 the outlook pst file would get deleted this is the first time I have
lost the PST file. However I apparently have forgotten how I used to fix the
problem.
