With your help I fixed the problem of the computer always directing me to the
log in screen at start-up.
Now when the screensaver comes on it takes me back to the the blue log on
screen.
I don't want to log on I'm the only user on this computer.

Thanks for your help.

When you set your screen saver then you see a box
labelled "On resume? password protect". Untick this box!

Thanks for the help.
I was looking through the screensaver options before but that little box
evaded me somehow.

Thanks again!

I believe this answer was for me. Don't know for sure, since you
impolitely (improperly) deleted all the discussion before it OTHER
than your answer. (bad netiquette)

"At any rate, you're welcome!"

It's very nice to find myself in a "Geeks" group where I actually know
more about some things than some other folk!

For once, I can teach as WELL as learn, help as well as be helped!

"You're welcome!"

Happy New Year!

*Nobody* knows everything, regardless of the subject, and regardless of what
forum you're talking about. Almost no matter who you are, you will know more
about some things than some of the folks, and sometimes, more than all of
the folks.

That's one of the wonderful things about groups like this--no matter how
much we know, we can all still learn here. Speaking for myself (and probably
for most of us) I'm here both to help when I can and to learn what I can.
