Search Google for "Torpark", a Firefox spin-off that will use TOR proxies.

it depends on who you are hidding from. You cannot hide from the big guys
whatever you do, unless you are a super hacker.. and even then its for a
limited time until they catch on.

It is free for the first 10,000 users. I installed a few days ago. During
the install you provide an email address, and they send you a serial that
unlocks it for one year of free use.

Like I said, it's not freeware.

"Technically" and in every other sense of the word. It's not freeware.
It has a limited-use license and is a service. IMHO, your response
was fine as a response to the OP as long as all caveats are made up front.
