Hello,

I used to run excel 2000. I currently upgrade to excell 2002 and it
nice and all but there are these really annoying pop up help boxes when
I am working in excel.

I copy cells and paste them to other cell all the time but then now
this annoying popup box /clip board shows which blocks my view.

I know what I am doing when i copy and paste....i dont need that pop-up
clip board to keep showing.

How do i disable it?

Tools|options|Edit tab

There are a couple of things you can disable--including "show paste options
buttons"

xl2002 also added some error checking ability. You can change these options
under tools|options|error checking tab.

I tried Tools|options|Edit tab and unclicked all the buttons and the
paste /clip board keeps popping up.

Help

any other options?

oh and by the way to "aaron.kempf" who sent in that stupid
message....your a moron.

I thought you meant the little icon that sometimes appears after you copy|paste.

But maybe you're talking about the office clipboard/task pane.

If yes, the next time it shows up, click on the options button at the bottom.
(You should be able to see it via view|task pane.)

Then tell it you want it to collect without showing office clipboard.

(If I guessed correctly this time!)
