I'm using excel 2002 and whenever I go to quick save my file I get
this annoying dialog box asking if I want to save a copy or overwrite
changes. I looked up help to see what I could find, but didn't come
up with an answer.

Does anybody know how to get rid of this message?

Cheers,

Bruce

A "quick save" (Ctrl-s) should not ask about overwriting...

The response doesn't answer the basic question - how to turn OFF this
annoying message. It is really inconvenient to have to push two keys rather
than click on the command on the toolbar.

How can we turn off this annoying message? The files I'm using aren't able
to be edited by another user while I'm working on them, so the message is
totally unnecessary. The worst part about the message is that the default
option is to save as a copy.

I'm finding several copies of copies of copies of files in the folder where
only the one file should be. Having to determine which is the most recent
version is a waste of time and recourses.
