Annoying popups - cpu acting strange....

Hello,

I am having problems with my computer and was curious if
anyone had similar issues. Whenever I'm on the internet,
sometimes, I have frustrating issues whereby my computer
will freeze because some add pops up a minute later.
Usually there is a delay in my ability to do things. Part
of the popup is off the screen, the part that allows you
to minimze or canel it, so I have to remove it by using
the Windows Task Manager. This usually kills all my
intenet sessions as well. I can't type anything when the
computer freezes and when I do sometimes the keys change.
For example, the letter may capitalize of if I enter a
period, ".", I get some other weird character like a ">".

I've searched the control panel and there is nothing out
of the ordinary. I've run Norton and found nothing. I've
also run spybot and ad-aware and it does find things but I
can't locate what is causing these problems. Has anyone
had similar problems? If so how did you rid your computer
of this?

I've added a rule on my firewall and blocked TCP and UDP incoming
traffic on ports 135,137,138,139,445

Install a good firewall and block all inbound ports by default....also, how
often do you run Windows Update?
