Hey,

I get this error popup almost constantly after moving files in
Navigation View and then returning to the Folders List. I open a file
and see:

Can't Open File: C\...Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir\*.htm

This repeats as several popups follow and I close each one. Then the
page finally appears, often missing included content. I then refresh
the view and the page appears properly in design view.

This is so annoying. It never happened in 2002. What's up??? Somebody
help me, please!

My OS is WinXP Pro.

Thanks.

That's been happening with one of my local webs since I started updating it
with FP2003.

Hadn't thought of trying that. I downloaded and installed Jimco's Open Web
addin and used it to open this particular web and didn't have the problem.

Me, too.

Hi Tom,

I deleted all the files you specified except for the FP temp files.
Where are they located? I'm working in WinXP Pro.

After deleting all but those FP temp files, I'm still getting the same
errors if I open Navigation view, switch back to Folders, and then
open a file.

This is not too cool. I never had problems like this in 2002. :-(

Reesa:
They are in C:\Documents and Settings\yournamehere\Local
Settings\Temp\FrontPageTempDir

I keep a shortcut to it on my desktop to make it easier to empty it out.

Hey Tom,

What's the best way to report this to Microsoft so that it will be
fixed? Without having to do a cleanup all the time?

Thanks, Tom,

This is very good to hear because it's starting to become more of a
minor annoyance. I do many sites in FP, and it happens whenever I
switch from design to any other view and then switch back again.
