I was able to capture analog video w/ my ATI All in Wonder 128 with Movie Maker vs. 1.1, but since I have upgraded to vs. 2, I am unable to capture using this device. I keep getting a message that "The video device is currently in use. Close any other programs using this device and try agai." I do not have any other programs running. Does any one have any suggestions
Thanks!

I am having the same problem, and apparently so have others. The archives going back for almost a year show this question popping up time and again, but never an answer. I can capture through the ATI Media Center, but would rather do everything through Movie Maker. I have the ATI All-in-Wonder 128 AGP card.

It appears that Microsoft has dropped the ball on this one. Is ther a MVP out there who can respond?

Scot and Jay,

Have you checked the comments on the Analog Video Capture > ATI page of my
site?

PapaJohn,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I checked your site. The only person who
appeared to have any success was in Canada and used the Catalyst
drivers for their Radeon chipset. The Rage chipset I use doesn't
appear to use the Catalyst drivers. I have downloaded the latest
drivers from ATI (which aren't very new) and they don't appear to
help. BTW, I am using an All-In-Wonder 128 board.

Like many of the others who have posted, I can capture using the
included ATI software and other programs, but not Moviemaker 2. Also,
my Windows XP CD doesn't have an option for Moviemaker 1.

You have accumulated a lot of good information, but it apparently
doesn't apply to my situation.

Thanks,
Jay Shilstone
