Hi,
Not a functionality problem, just an intriguing issue that has me baffled.
I run Win98 SE
But how do I best explain it
When I open a web page I have two visible toolbars plus the address bar.
The upper bar I think is called "standard buttons" and includes the
"back/forwqrd" buttons, stop refresh etc.(and is made up of large icons)
The lower bar just has File, Edit, View Favourites, Tools Help (and small
icons).
Now the intrigue
On my PC at the Office, and all the other PC's that I have checked, the
Microsoft/World icon that spins when it is searching, is located at the
right hand end of the lower tool bar and is a small icon.
On my home PC it is located at the right hand end of the upper tool bar and
is a large icon.
I am sure that it was not always like that, because I remember thinking very
recently, why has my spinning icon got larger all of a sudden.
I have tried all the options that I can find for customising, unlocking
toolbars, etc but no change.
As you can see it is not life threatening, just intriguing as to why it has
happend.

If the spinning logo is in the upper [menu bar], it's normal. Looks like the menubar & toolbar positions are misplaced in your system.

You can move all the toolbars around simply by dragging the little bar on
the left of each toolbar. If the little bar isn't there you have locked the
toolbars. You can unlock them by right clicking on them and unselecting
'lock the toolbars'. I'm not sure what determines the size of the spinning
globe icon. Possibly your video resolution?

thanks for the input -worked a treat
