An IE/Netscape difference - frames?

If you are reading a newsgroup at groups.google.com, there is sometimes
a frame to the left with the articles or newsgroups and a frame on the
right for one article.

In IE, you can resize the left pane but in Netscape you can't at all.
Why would that happen?
 
Who cares?

Do yourself a favor and setup a real newsreader.

Outlook Express came free with XP.

You will later wonder why you didn't setup OE as your newsreader sooner.

Nah forget all that and simply use Mozilla Suite. The Mail Application
also makes a good newsreader. I use it on both Mac OS X and XP. cya

The main point is that using a newsreader is a much better choice than
reading newsgroups on the web. Which newsreader you use is of secondary
importance, but Outlook Express is a good choice for most beginners to
newsgroups because it comes with Windows and it's easiest to get started
with.

We can have very different opinions about which newsreader is "best." We all
work in different ways and have different needs. The newsreader that's best
for you isn't necessarily best for everyone else. Personally I've tried many
of the different newsreaders available, and my preference is Outlook
Express. It suits *my* way of working the best
