I had a malware problem that started disconnecting me from the internet. I rebuilt my winsock files because of it. Now when I run 'cmd' ipconfig /renew. I get "An error occured while renewing interface local area connection an operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.

When I run ipconfig /all, I get a physical IP address but I don't get default or gateway addressess for my computer. I also get some information about "Tunnel Adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo- Interface with IP addresses and defaults populated with very strange characters. I have no idea what that's all about.

The computers is networking okay. The device manager doesn't show any devices not working. My LAN connection says "firewalled" I don't remember seeing that before, but it may have been there all along.

I'm out of ideas. Any hints???

Greetings

Just a FYI

The Tunnel Adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo is probably ipV6. right click My
Network Places, properties, Local Area Connection, properties, look for IPv6
protocol or something similar.

You can remove this. I think that it is installed by .Net

Hope this helps
