Am I doing something wrong?

Why is the icon next to my thread different from any others?
What does it mean?
It's an envelope with a black dot.
So far, 14 people have viewed but not one reply.
Is this due to something wrong?

What you're seeing is evidently an artifact of the particular web
portal you're using to access this newsgroup. No one who uses a news
reader, and presumably no one who uses a different web portal will
be able to see whatever icon you're seeing, let alone know which
"thread" you're referring to.

The 14 viewings must also be only referring to that web portal, as
there's no way to count how many times a message has been accessed
via usenet.

Refer to your web site contact for help on how that web site
displays posts from newsgroups.

What application you're using doesn't matter.

This newsgroup is not a web site. It is a collection of messages
that is indexed and served by a news server.

You happen to be using a web site that accesses those messages and
displays them (sometimes called a portal), just as I am using a
newsreader application that downloads and displays the messages in
plain text.

If you're not understanding something about the website and the way
it displays messages, then you need to contact the webmaster at
exceltip.com. Nobody who doesn't use that site (the vast majority of
posters) can possibly know what you're seeing or what it means. I
think the email address for the exceltip webmaster is mailto:[email protected].

Thanks.
I've already emailed him and am still awaiting a reply.

In the end, I just wish someone would reply to my excel question.

I did find another post in a different newsgroup:

<[email protected]>

Is that the one you're referring to?

If so, the probable reason that it hasn't been answered is that you
don't really give enough information to work with. What does the
function "uniqueitems" do - what does it return? Without knowing
that, nobody can have a clue as to what your function should be
returning and whether your method is correct.

Also, for your very similar question yesterday, did the reply work
for you? If not, explaining why might help someone understand better
what you're looking for.

I have added more details to my question, as you advised.
I'm not sure which one you are referring to when you ask if the reply
helped. I never got a reply to my Excel question. Just your replies
for this question.

Again, thank you for helping me. Using forums to get help from the
public is all new to me. Yesterday was first time, but I have learned
loads over these few days.
