Am I accessing 160 GB?

I have got XP + SP1 and I think my mobo had 48-bit addressing, so I
should be able to access all of a 160 GB partition.

Is there a way to fully confirm that I can access this partition?

I don't want to find that I can store up to 128/137 GB and then no
more!

Go to your motherboard mftr.'s website and look up the specs on your
board, or read your manual. Another great place to get information is
in the forums at www.amdmb.com.

If you have everything set up properly, Windows should be able to see
the entire storage area. If not, Windows will only show the 137 GB
that the limitation allows.

Just check the drive properties and you'll know.

Go to Control Panel - Admin Tools - Computer Management, select Disk
Management and look lower right for the graphic of the drive.

That will show existing partitions and their sizes, and the size of any
free space: see what they add up to.

Note that a '160GB disk' is in decimal billion; in the 'binary' GB used
in measuring partitions that is about 149

If that shows a 149 GB partition, XP will be using it
