Some of us actually use different computers with difrerent versions of
Outlook. I know this may be hard to believe. For example, my computer at
school has an older version, my computer at home has a newer version, and
where I work still another. Hard to believe, but sometimes some of us
actually switch jobs and the place we worked before had a newer version, and
so we lose our old contacts, e-mails, etc because they are not transferable
to older versions of Microsoft Outlook. Here's a novel idea; in order to
build "good will" make your newer versions better so we are compelled to buy
them, not forced to buy them because we lose compatiabiltiy.

So why don't you configure OL2003 to *not* use Unicode format in the PST
file and instead use the old ANSI format? Read
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830336/.

Next time, ask before whining.

No one forces you to do anything. All versions of Outlook can read
ANSI-format PSTs with no trouble whatsoever. Try reading your
documentation.
