allow switching between email accounts while outlook is active.

I've got multiple mail accounts. it's a real pain to switch between them with
outlook under xp. I was able to switch between them running outlook under
Windons ME, why did you get rid of this feature?

it doesnt matter which operation system you use.
Which outlook version do you use and what do you mean with "switching
between email accounts?"

I have 5 e-mail accounts defined in Outlook. I never have to "switch"
between them. They are all available at the same time when I am in
Outlook. So what are YOU talking about?
 
I've learned a little more. It's a difference, I guess, between outlook
express (a 2002 version or so) and the new Office Outlook. Express had an
option where you'd pick the one and only account. It looks like with Office
Outlook all the accounts are active like you said.

that says you can't switch profiles while active. it's a learning curve
thing, guess I posted to quickly.

Mail profiles are not the same as mail accounts. You can have multiple
mail profiles but you will need to pick one when you start Outlook
(unless you choose one to be the default). You can one, or more, mail
accounts within a mail profile. Mail profiles for MAPI (which includes
Outlook) are similar to what identities are for Outlook Express. In OE,
you can switch identities while remaining within OE. For Outlook, you
have to exit and reload Outlook to get the prompt as to which profile
you want to use.
