allocate teacher to classroom in excel - help needed

I have 2 excel files. (name.xls) and (roster.xls)

name.xls contain 50 teacher names.
roster.xls contain daily roster for 50 class rooms. Each row indicate
daily. Therefore i have 30 rows which indicate 30 calender days.

I would like to assign 50 teachers for 50 class rooms daily.

Question 1. I would like to assign 1 teacher to 1 class room only. If
the teacher name already been appeared in other cells, if I assign it
again, I would like to be alerted to know that the teacher has been
used.
[in short, only 1 teacher can be assign to 1 class room. but I would
like excel to alert me if i make a mistake]

Question 2. For every day, 50 teachers must be assign to 50 class
rooms. I would like excel to alert me if any teacher is not being
assign to any class room.

Kindly advise if this is possible to be done in excel.

It's most probably possible, but IMO it would be much easier if the names and
the classroom roster were all in the same workbook. Where do you make the
assignments?

you are right that I shd have the names import into the same workbook.
by the way, what is IMO ?

how do i reference the name to the cells and do the checking ?
