MY "All Programs" list is shown in three panes but the list is
incomplete. I have eliminated some of the items from the Start
menue and that has helped some. But I can't access the rest of
the list. BTW, after sorting by name, some programs show up at
the end of the list after Zxxx.

Hi Herbert, perhaps this will help

Right click Start button
Select Explore and/or Explore All Users.
Then open the Programs folder.
Create new subfolders then rearrange shortcuts.
OR
You can also configure your programs list to scroll which results in one large
column.
Right-click the Start button
Go to Properties
Click the Customize button.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll through the list until you see the item "Scroll Programs".
Check that and hit OK.

Kaylene,

Thanks. The scroll command did it. But I don't understand what
creating another subfolder under programs files will do. How
were you thinking about obtaining the shortcuts to rearrange?

Herb

Hi Herbert, for example, if you have a group of graphics applications, create a
folder called graphics applications and put all the shortcuts for graphics
applications in that folder.
So instead of having a whole long list, you have a shorter list containing
programs in folders that are arranged more logically.
