When I display "All Programs" from the Start Button my screen is filled and
even overflows off the right side. I can not see what those programs are. I
realize that I probably have a lot of programs that I could get rid of... but
what if I couldn't afford to get rid of any? How can I see the program names
that are off to the right?

Shorten the list by grouping some of them together into folders with similar
items in them.

Edit the names of the longest ones to shorten them, and create folders and
drag items of a like kind into those folders to organize and shorten the
listing.

So... how exactly do I create these folders? I'm sure that "All Programs"
itself is a folder... somewhere. But where is it?

It's a combination of what you have in C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs and C:\Documents and Settings\[your user
name]\Start Menu\Programs

Shorten the list by grouping some of them together into folders with similar
items in them.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

and C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Start Menu\Programs

regroup some of them into more general categories
