All programs and send

Any time I open the start menu and proceed to click on an icon above the
selection ALL PROGRAMS, all programs opens when I don't want it to. Also when
I right click on an icon and proceed to select play, when I move my mouse
pointer to select anything listed above send my mouse pointer gets stuck
there as well and I have to wait several seconds for send to close so I can
select an option above it. What could be making this occur. Any solutions,

You obviously have the incidious WindowsXP eye-candy option
displaying.

Right click the Start button -> Properties -> Classic Start Menu (also
investigate the other custom options while you're there).

Take back control of *YOUR* computer - don't just let Microsoft tell
you what it should look like!!!
