all office 2000 works but outlook freezes the computer every time

I have Outlook from 2000 Professional. No matter what i do that program and
only that program lockes up the computer. I have a duo core with 2gis ram. I
have done eveything i can think including completely removing the whole of
Office and replacing it and nothing has improved. I have tried all the rest
of the suite and all programs work fine just Outlook. Any suggestions?

I'm running Office 2000 Professional on Vista with no problems.
However, Outlook started to give grief after a
Vista update a few months ago. Switched to
Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on for the calendar and task manager
with no problems. Imported my address book using CSV. No problems
since and I still have the desired functionality. You have nothing to
lose by trying and it's free.
